Course Description:

We begin our travels in Sydney, where we get our bearings touring some of the city's most famous landmarks, and learning how some exemplary businesses turn environmental sustainability into economic opportunity. After four nights we travel to Hunter Valley - a major center for wine production -- where we explore sustainability cultivation and production processes in this important export industry. Next we take up residence in an eco village where we roll up our sleeves and see what sustainable living entails. Finally we embark to the Great Barrier Reef to experience one of the great natural wonders of the world, led by eco-certified guides.



Course Objective:
  • Understand approaches to meeting pressures of sustainability along with vibrant commercial activity.
  • Ethical growth and critical thinking about the relationship between business and the natural environment.
  • Respectful appreciation of intercultural differences.
This course is about increasing awareness of the possibilities for organizations dependent upon the natural world; it's all about meshing economic systems with environmental systems.
