Container Gardening
Many people believe that in order to grow their own food, they need a yard with a garden. Container gardening is a great option for those that have limited space, or who might not have a yard to grow a garden. By using pots and containers in a small space (or even to divide a large space) you are able to grow mini-gardens. With a little bit of research about what plants you want to grow, what size of container is needed, and how to care for these plants, you can easily start your own container garden. For those who would like to grow their own food, or just buy less at the grocery store, a container garden is an easy way to go. I think that container gardening is a great idea for many people, and it would be benefical to spread this idea more. If more people were to understand and take a little time for container gardening, then they could easily follow through with it and begin to grow some of their own food. When you grow your own food, you truly understand what all is going into and being placed upon your food, and you are able to see where your food comes from. In a household with younger children, container gardening could certainly help teach them where their food comes from, and how to take care of plants. There are many ways that we might be able to teach more individuals about container gardening, but brining this more into the spotlight, I think, is an excellent idea. I personally would love to try container garden, and might even start with a small herb garden for the kitchen. Once the idea catchs on more, I feel like container gardens can be found almost anywhere.
