Garden to the Opera House

Today we went to the Botanical Gardens and Sydney Opera House. The Botanical Gardens were really awesome, they had a wide range of plants. They even had a plant that they thought was extinct but recently was found again, it is from the time period of the dinosaurs! The old tour guide was very cute and informative. There were fruit bats everywhere, which turns out they are endangered but the garden is trying to get rid of them because they are destroying the trees, from hanging upside down and clawing the branches. There were numerous beautifully colored flowers, I really enjoyed it. There was a wishing tree where we had to walk around 3 times forwards and 3 times backwards.

At the Sydney Opera house it was interesting to see the work and architecture that went into the project. We got to see the main concert hall and a band was doing a sound check, so we could not take pictures. We also saw many other stages, there are over 1000 rooms in the building. I hope to one day return and attend an Opera there.
