To sum up Fort Douglas. It was freaking awesome! This place had so much to offer. When we flew in it was so humid, but that was no big deal. On our first full day here we went out to the Great Barrier Reef. Which was a great way to start. We took the Quicksilver out to three different sites. It took us about an hour and half to get to the our first site. It started off real well. And as we got farther into the reef at the 2nd and 3rd sites we saw more more diversity of fish and turtles as well. The 3rd site was definitely my fav. Saw sea turtle all over the place. Wait I men Crush from Finding Nemo. Of the many things I saw in the reef while snokeling was sea turtles, sharks, Nemo, Dori, giant sea clams, and tons of coral. I literally thought I was in a real life Nemo. So cool. Didn't even get a sunburn. Then on on our second day we went to the Aboriginal Center and got a sweet tour. I got to throw a spear and a boomerang. I was able to throw throw the spear pretty far but failed miserably with the boomerang. Oh well I got throw a freaking spear. No big deal. I even got to play a didgeridoo. After the cultural center we went to the Hartleys Crocodile Farm. Saw little crocs, big crocs, birds, snakes, and the greatest part was the getting to pet the Koala bears. So cute.
