We recently visited Hunter Valley, which is home to many vineyards. We were able to go to an organic vineyard and a non-organic vineyard. It was really interesting to see the differences between the practices of these types of vineyards. The organic vineyard, of course, wanted to make sure that their wine was selling, but it seemed more important to them to make sure that they were making a quality product instead of focusing on sales. The organic vineyard showed us that they were really trying to reuse water and compost for the vines. They also don't use chemicals, and use more natural methods for to kill weeds. I found it really interesting to compare these two vineyards and just the moods that they have towards their wine. Hunter Valley was such an interesting place to visit, and a fun place to stay. The scenery was amazingly beautiful, much prettier then Sydney I think. I love the rolling hills and all the trees and nature that was surrounding us. Hunter Valley is definitely a place that I would love to come back and visit again, and of course, bring people with!
